VBT# Love Strung - Jamie Matlock

Review: Love Strung - Book #2 - January 2015

Kennedy Masters is an impulsive girl who does everything by the sear of her pants , after her music deal fell through she ended up doing back-up singing for Mick Callahan on his tour.  One night , sick of Mel - the other singer putting down Jewel - another singer who had befriended Kennedy , she stands up to Mel and captures the attention of Mick. Mick sees her as another possible conquest, but Kennedy is definitely not interested in becoming another notch on his tourbus bedpost, the other thing is that she can't afford to lose this job as it's the only income she has coming in after a fallout with her sperm donor aka father. The next morning though, Kennedy wakes up naked in the bus and can't remember anything that happened the night before - all she thinks she knows is that they didn't have sex. Woken up the next morning, she walks out and meets Griffin - Mick's older brother and rival. Soon Kennedy finds herself stuck in between a brotherly rift and tries to leave, it seems though as we note through the entire book that no matter how many times Kennedy leaves and that Mick and Griffin want her gone - they always find a way to bring her back into their lives.  Can one mistake change someone's entire life and future ? Prior to this Kennedy would have had her doubts, but now it defintely has and what's worse is that Mick has proposed to her as a publicity stunt and she loves Griffin and if that wasn't bad enough Mick won't stop trying to woo her.  Love Strung was a good read , but I do have to admit it was definitely a family filled drama story and there is a lot of back and forthing between all the characters and it always seems a bit like one step forward and two steps back with the main characters. Part of this book frustrated me as I was like "make up your freaking mind and get over yourself" to some of the characters, but overall if you are wanting a Music based New Adult story, then check out "Love Strung" by Jamie Matlock.
