Review: The Angel Killer - Book #2 The Watcher Saga - Lisa Voisin - January 2015

Mia Crawford isn't like normal girls, well now she isn't anyway as it turns out that she was in another life in love with Michael - the angel and thousands of years ago they were separated and he was tortured and lost his wings and had his memory wiped. Now centuries later , these two are brought back into each other's lives and must work together to not only save their lives but the lives of those they care about around them. In Book #2 it seems that someone has on his target list Angels and the first name is Michael's and it's bad as the sword was cursed and unless they can find out the owner of the sword and the type of sword - he may only have about a week to live. This part reminded me of the pilot episode of the new TV series "The Librarian" when Noah Wyle's character Flynn was stabbed by Excalibur and there was no cure. If an Angel Killer wasn't bad enough to try and stop , Hellhounds have been released and have attacked two of Mia's guy friends Jesse and Dean and it looks like Dean's life may be cut short if he can't be healed by a miracle. Also in The Angel Killer, Mia discover's exactly the truth behind who she really is and what she is capable of in terms of Angelic Powers.
 If you love Mystery stories with an Angelic Twist , then The Angel Killer is the book for you. Also even though The Angel Killer is Book #2 in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
